With seven years of experience in the accounting field, Melissa brings a well-rounded background in financial operations, tax preparation, and industry-specific accounting. She graduated from the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith in 2016 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.
Melissa’s career began in the oil and gas industry, where she spent five years specializing in joint interest billing and accounts receivable. She then expanded into operational accounting, gaining 1.5 years of experience supporting day-to-day financial processes. Most recently, she has worked directly with clients by managing their books and preparing both corporate and individual tax returns.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending quality time with her family and staying active in her community. She coaches her 9-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter in baseball and basketball, and she is an avid tennis player in WATA’s adult competitive league. She has qualified for the state tournament two years in a row during the spring season.
